ACE CPT Prep / Chapter 7 / Functional Assessments

Updated: Mar 15

Chapter 7 is one of the most important chapters to understand for the ACE CPT Exam. A lot of the information in this chapter is better learned visually by watching videos and/or looking at pictures. This post provides video links to every assessment as well as other helpful links to help you be prepared come test day. We recommend reading the chapter (Pages 150 thru 192 of the ACE manual 5th Edition), listen to the audio discussion, watch the linked videos, and then practice the movements / assessments on yourself, friends, and family members. This will help you retain the information and be able to apply the knowledge learned.

*Practical & applied knowledge makes up the majority of the test questions for all CPT Exams whether it's ACE, ACSM, or NASM. They want to know you have the base knowledge to properly assess clients and then begin training them in a safe and effective manner.
